Dr. Gaye D. Walton-Price

Gaye D. Walton-Price holds a Ph.D. in Arabic Language at Georgetown University, where she previously earned a Master of Science degree in Arabic and Linguistics. She also earned a Master of Arts degree in Religion from Yale Divinity School. Dr. Walton-Price has extensive experience teaching in the United States and as well as internationally, specifically in Tunisia and Egypt. She has taught a broad array of subjects, including the introductory and intermediate levels of Modern Standard Arabic; English as a Foreign Language; Islamic Religion and Culture; Humanities for General Education, such as Timeless Questions, Research and Writing Social Policy Proposals, and Ethical Considerations for Life; Introduction to Philosophy: Ethics; Introduction to the Humanities: Imagination, Invention, and Creativity; and Comparative Religions of the World. In June 2011, Dr. Walton-Price participated in the STARTALK Arabic Academy for Teachers held at Penn State University in Pennsylvania. She currently resides in Oakland, California, with her husband, with whom she has raised two children.
